  1. There are plenty of resorts and nice places to visit. Your budget and interests would affect your enjoyment. Do you like laid back or busy tourist places? Developed or off the beaten track? There are thousands of islands. Beaches: lots of islands but go to Boracay (in Visayas) if you must. It is famous and getting crowded, thus island with a nightlife. Palawan for El Nido and the Underground River Cebu: nice beaches and jump off point for the Visayan Islands. Bohol: Panglao and nearby Balicasag for Rays, Chocolate Hills and the 'Gremlin'-like Tarsier Siargao for surfing (there are other places) Donsol for the Whale Sharks (Butanding) Diving: numerous places (Tubbataha Reefs is still not that well known Coron for shipwrecks of WW2) Uniqueness: Mountain Province Rice Terraces (Sagada too) Hiking: Mt Pinatubo (yes! the one that erupted in 1989) Visit the sites on the internet. Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNdAg90r2cE Survivor France have done their latest series in Caramoan Peninsula but this is yet undeveloped. Too many to mention. You will have to come back a few times or have a longer holiday. btw, if you stop in Manila, check this one out. http://celdrantours.blogspot.com/2008/11/tour-dates-tour-rates.html However, if you have Filipino friends who invite you to their home and town, their hospitality would be the best experience of all.

The world famous island is located in the province of Aklan which is 345 kms. south of Manila. It is accessible by air either from Manila or Cebu. Two Airports serves as the gateway to the island- Kalibo and Caticlan. Once you reach this island paradise, a day seems too short for various sights and sounds Boracay can offer the sun, sand or sea worshippers. 5. most filipinas love shangri-la resort outside of cebu or badian island resorts. Everyone knows at least one of them.
  6. All the above answers are great.... but no one mentions the northern part of Luzon in the cool mountains. The small town of Sagada would be an adventure... Go to the Youtube site and search for Sagada, Philippines and you will see dozens of homemade videos on this place and those mentioned... just search the name of these places mentioned above with Philippines... so simple.
