I am looking to book a family vacation in Alaska for salmon Fishing in July? Does anyone know a good reputable outfit that I should look into? I am looking for something that is reasonably price for a week of stay for my wife, a 7 yrs old, and I including room, meals and 5 days of chartered fishing trips. I have seen prices ranging from $800 to $3000. I prefer to keep it between $1,200 to $1,500 max per person double occupancy.

How profitable do you think lake charter fishing would be? Lets say I were to charge $50/person for 2 hrs. The lakes are in Fresno, Cali Pine Flat Reservoir and Millerton Lake. Would it be worth it in the long run? I'm only making $150/wk at my current job.

I admit, I've only been fishing for those kind of fish a couple of times, all of my experience comes workin/fishing in AK, but I'm moving to a tropical area in about a year, and I'd like to set up shop there. When I Deck handed for a friend in Hawaii, he had a 42 foot hatteras that was awesome, but I could see getting by with less, at least to get started, but maybe that's how big you need...?
